Daisy's Pregnancy Shoot

Daisy and Luke were photographed using only natural light, in Cheltenham.
The location suited the shoot as the sunlight wasn't too harsh and the trees presented
a nice, soft backdrop. At 32 weeks, the bump was the perfect size to be captured on
camera - and not too close to full term!

I started with a few simple portrait shots to get everybody relaxed, then focussed more
on the bump. Jake the dog seemed to find the whole thing hugely exciting, sniffing the
bump often although he preferred to sit next to me rather than actually be in any of the pictures!

Tony and Sam's Wedding in Gloucester

Tony and Sam were married in Barnwood in Gloucester on a lovely English Summer's day. I began by spending some time photographing the Groom and the chaps in the grounds of the venue - and ended up, inevitably, utilising the nearby children's play equipment!

After the ceremony, the Bride, Groom and guests gathered outside for the group shots. When the confetti came out, I can honestly say I have never seen so much thrown in one go! I spent a while with the happy couple in the grounds before heading back inside the venue for the buffet, disco and ice cream machine!

Tony and Sam Pre-Wedding Shoot

Tony and Sam have chosen me to photograph their wedding in Gloucester - so the Docks seemed like
the perfect venue for their pre-wedding photographs.

We caught the end of the sun peeking around the corners of the old warehouses as we began the
shoot, using the old brick buildings and carriages from the National Waterways Museum as backdrops.
Tony and Sam were a pleasure to photograph as they were smiling throughout, which made the
whole shoot very enjoyable - even through the trauma that was my very badly told fish joke...

Rose and Richard Pre-Wedding Shoot

Rose and Richard are to be married in a few weeks at Charlton Kings Church in Cheltenham, with
their reception at The Green Dragon Inn in Cockleford, just outside Cheltenham.

We visited the Green Dragon with a view to beginning the pre-wedding shoot somewhere in the
grounds (and also having a look at possible group photo locations) but our arrival co-incided with
that of a bride and groom! After loitering with intent for a few moments, we managed to make our way
out the back.

After a quick look around, we headed to the pretty Cotswold village of Coberley, to take advantage
of the sunshine! The shoot began on a lawn by Coberley Church, with a rustic barn door in the background.

We were entertained throughout by Owen, Rose and Richard's son - who was remarkably cheery bearing
in mind the fact that he was slap bang in the middle of his second bout of Chicken Pox!

After a pit-stop at the car to pick up Owen's buggy, we walked a short way down a public footpath to
a bridge over a river where I finished the shoot while intermittently entertaining Owen with bits of tree...

Abercrombie and Kent Staff Shoot

A commission by Abercrombie and Kent - a luxury travel company based in Cheltenham.

The images will be used as part of a staff 'Who's Who' and other promotional material, to
be distributed worldwide. An original image was provided in both colour and black and
white, as well as a square 8 x 8 crop in both formats.

For the shoot, we met in Winston Churchill Memorial Gardens to take advantage of the
beautiful early morning sunshine and to use the lavender as a backdrop.

Kevin and Alison - A South African Wedding Reception

Kevin and Alison were married in South Africe - a wedding I did not have the pleasure to visit, but upon their
return I was asked to shoot their reception for friends and family in this country who didn't get to go to the wedding.

They dressed in their finery - including the dress, which had travelled halfway across the world - for the rececption
in Cheltenham.

Below are a few pictures from the reception, most of which were taken indoors as the weather was a 'little inclement!'
